Team Label it! took a major hit last week when Adam Deakon crashed in practice.

Unfortunately Adam hit hard enough to pop his helmet 25' in the air as the rivot of the helmet strap ripped out on impact...He has some broken ribs, torn liver and a concussion.

In a perfect world he'll be back for Walton. I was on my way back from Joe Skidd's SSS shop when I got the news with all the refreshed suspension for the race bikes. Bad timing,

But there never is really good timing for an injury and it could have been worse.

I got confirmation of a tempory fill in this morning.

Branden Cowie will run the last 3 MX2 Nationals for Label It Racing to get his feet wet. I met him last spring training down south and liked his attitude and work ethic and he has skills on a motorcycle. He's a top 5 intermediate who knows how to work his way to the top. He now has a 3 race job interview for next year. With any luck we'll have 3 riders in the Walton MX2.
